"After today's news that Chevrolet are withdrawing from the WTCC at the end of the 2012 season, last year's runner-up Rob Huff, currently second in the standings behind team-mate Yvan Muller, is now even more motivated to win the drivers' title for Chevrolet this year."

Yep, Huffy all the way!

To say I'm gutted though at hearing this news is an understatement. I cannot understand why though. Successful in the BTCC and they pulled out. 2 times WTCC driver and manufacturer champions and on course for a third.

Guess they are getting bored of winning!!

Chevrolet is getting to popular in Europe ,and to much cannibalizing Opel.
And Opel is GM's favorite brand in Europe.

Susan Docherty, President and Managing Director of Chevrolet Europe : “Following a strategic review of our motorsport and marketing programs we have decided to leave the FIA World Touring Car Championship at the end of the 2012 season to focus our Chevrolet brand activities in other areas.
