Hey folks...

in my Cruze VCDI, my average fuel consumption is 5.7l/100km, accordring to the boardcomputer.
It seems VERY positive. In real life it's more around 6.5l/100km.

Anyone elese seeing the boardcomputer WAY off ??

I'm getting pretty consistent results from the computer and within about 0.3l/100km either way. My average when going for economy is 5.7 (the Australian standard official result for mixed use), when i use air con and dont try a consistent 6.4l/100km.

When you fill up the gas tank, do you "top off", or stop the second the "pistol" clicks off ??
Wonder if it has anything to say.....regarding precision of the trip computer

seems they still haven't gotten the algorithm right that the computer uses. I believe its based off the injector data vs rpm.

I bought a Holden Cruze 1.8 CDX two weeks ago. I have done 1050 KMS. I am averaging 11.5 Liters per 100 KMS. Does any of you have similar experience. I am not happy with the fuel economy. I don’t drive in heavy traffic or in City Traffic.

The fuel gauge appears to be very inaccurate the only way to check is to fill up the tank run until nearly empty and see how much petro/diesel is required to fuill up again and calculate how many miles covered for the amount of the fill up.

The fuel gauge is not accurate.

I have checked my last full tank.

According fuel gauge average 6,4 - real life 6,9

Fuel consumption gauge hopelessly inaccurate stupidly tied into trip odometer mpg still only 29.4 for mixed town & motorway driving in UK

Did 821kms on a tank (60 Litre Tank). When the "Fill Fuel" notice came on the Trip Computer. So not sure how many litres left in the tank when that light comes on. Does anyone know how many litres are left when the fuel light comes on and also when the "fill fuel" notice comes on the screen ?

(600kms motorway driving at 110km/h and the rest was around town and short 15 min trips to work and back)

Was showing 6.0L / 100kms average on the trip computer, so not very accurate. Will calculate out to about 6.7 on distance travel and fuel used.

Im pretty much the same, I calculate my fuel usage on my iphone using an app called vehical, and have used it from the very first tank, I always fill it right up.
