Help changing engine ecu in a 2010 Diesel cruze

Hi guys, i have a faulty ECU in my cruze, i have a replacement ECU to go in, but i'm having trouble putting the software onto the new ecu

 

it gets about a third of the way into programming than stops an tries again, after 3 goes it stops and brings up an error code, can't remember exactly what the code was but any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Why do you think you have a faulty ECU in the first place and not a sensor of some sort? ECUs rarely fail, sensors fail frequently. I would get the dealer to look into that.
