Hello i am James. I just recently purchased a 2011 Cruise LT1 I bought it from a lady who gave up driving at the age of 80. She sold it to me for 8,000.00 it has 22,900 miles and is in mint condition. Here in the north east in NH we have cars that get rusted from salt etc. This car I believe was not driven in the winter. It is clean from bumper to bumper. Not one bit of dirt. It looks like it came from the show room and the mileage was only racked up with the car sitting on blocks and wheels spinning to the 22,900 miles. Title history shows she bought the car at 12,247 miles in 2012. Before that the car was previously titled in Oklahoma which cars are in better shape there then the ones here. Anyhow I thought I got a super deal until the other night I saw on car complaints.com there were 880 complaints on this car with a summary break down saying 59 for transmission 52 for cooling system and 52 for engine. I spent my savings for this car. I feel like I should sell this car and quick. Do you agree?

Have you checked the condition of the engine and under carriage?

Not necessarily a bad purchase James. The US made Cruzes have few poor quality parts, once you have replaced them with Korean parts you should be ok. Cruze is not a bad car in that sense, I sold mine because i just did not like the slowliness of everything, gearbox, accelerator, lights and so on, it just felt retarded. I don't think I should enter into negotiations with the gearbox when to change up of down. I need the change now, not later.

For me american Cruzes have the worst quality - in the past i thought that Koreans are the poorest made but after 5 years of using it i can honselty say that they are not....
scale of problems with american's made Cruzes is just HUGE, even sometimes hard to belive in this...
Next are russian's made Cruzes (Shushary Peresburg)... then China's made... and after all Korean

I actually thought US cruzes are of much better quality than countries stated above, that's a shame.
