I have a 2012 Cruze LTZ with 74K on it, Bought it used and have no warranty, Every once in awhile the check engine light starts flashing and Service Stabilitrak comes on the car starts to loose power and jerks, Luckily I Have been able to get to a safe place and shut it off, wait a bit and start and it is ok for awhile again, I read about recall about this problem and seems mine is doing the same thing but when i type Vin# into gm website it says no recalls for this vehicle....

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Frustrated, BradcMart

Have you had the negative battery cable replacement done?

This is not a recall, it is a "mention it to your dealer and it will be applied" thing.

Hello I bought a 2015 Chevy Cruze LTZ and had a similar problem, my steering cut out briefly and the stabilitrak light flashes on. The radio has also cut out with the stabilitrak light, and once while driving on the freeway as well. The car has a little over 40000 miles on it, does anyone know how I can get help resolving this issue before it causes an accident?? Any help you can offer would be much appreciated!

I have a 2014 Chev Cruze LTZ and the same thing has been happening with ours.  Radio blinks off (few seconds at a time), lose turn signals, power steering, stabilitrak light flashes on, etc.   I told the wife not to drive it until we get it to the dealership.  I'd say this is severe hazard especially on multi lane highways.  I have never got any recalls or bullitens for this from Chevy.  Any suggestions, only has 35,000 miles on it.

Thanks

Glenn

I have a 2012 chevy cruze. The Stabilitrak warning comes up from time to time when the power flashes off and on.
It continues this several times. Then it stops for days... weeks... then starts again.
Hoping this is a recall we have not gotten instead of something major needing replaced.

Have you had the negative battery cable replacement applied by your dealer?

It is not a recall, but you have to ask the dealer to do it.
