My Cruze has the same issue with noise in front when hitting bumps. I had the Chevy dealer look at it and there was no loose parts. Going over small bumps will produce a nocking noise but pavement driving on bumps are fine. Some struts are bad out of the box or not tighten. We just replaced our struts on our Honda Odyssey with a complete strut kit and coil springs. 6 months later I had to take it back to dealer. You can see the strut pushing up on the rubber mounts which was causing a nocking noise like a bad sway bar link. OMG I hate replacing parts they never last like OEM.
