So, I have a 2014 Chevy cruze. Recently the A/C stopped working. ( works when it wants) also the outside Temperature gauge is reading -40 Degrees. I am in Texas it doesn't get that cold here. Can Someone give me an idea of what this could possibly be.

Have you had the negative battery cable fix applied by your dealer?

You can check out the blower resistor, it can be bought at a dealer of aftermarket for pennies. i know a guy had some problem at DSRLeasing and they fixed it for him right away.

I'm having the same problem in my 2013 LT. The outside temperature gauge will go from normal down to -40 and if will blow hot air instantly until the thermostat changes to the true temperature. I've notched it seems to happen mostly when the car sits still and is running. For example Like when I am in traffic or at a stop light for more than a minute or two. Not really sure what to do about it seeing as though I'm not a very mechanical guy...

Sounds like some kind of temp sensor is acting up and not sensing the true temp.

I also agree with the temp sensor
