@ 353 miles in my new 2017 Cruze. I started a cold car at home, and drove about 1.25 miles.  Pulling up to a red light - breaking but still rolling, and the light turns green.  I move from brake to accelerator, and the engine shuts off, as I roll into the middle of the intersection.  I had to put it in park (maybe neutral would have worked), foot on the brake, & hit the start button to get it running again.

Good thing I wasn't turning left in front of oncoming traffic.

Being Saturday, I went to the online appointment system. The first available appointment at the dealer is 5 days away.

Anyone else?

This happened to me once at a stop light, went from Auto stop/to off when i applied the gas.   I'm thinking that {because I accidentally put E15 in tank on one fill up} that it might be the problem as it hasn't occured since.  Using REGULAR unleaded now like recommended.

That is one scary moment. Any update on what causes the issue?

2018 1.6L Diesel cruze. had the car for not even two weeks and I was pulling up behind somebody stopped at a stop sign. I waited for the person in front of me to turn right. They did, it was my turn. The car shut off, then it wouldn't restart. Some lady was yelling at me to go, and the car behind me was super confused and had to go out and around me which was unsafe for them. It took me a minute to get the car restarted. It wouldn't restart in drive, I tried park and neutral and it still wouldn't restart. It finally restarted when I put it in park for a 2nd time and then pressed the start button (no key)

I called the dealership where I bought it and he said there was one case of it on Vancouver Island BC Canada where a lady's car did the same thing. Apparently she brought it to the dealership and they tested it for 3 weeks and sent it home to her because they couldn't duplicate it. Then the dealership told me there was a few confirmed cases in the USA where the same kinda thing happens and the car won't restart but there's no fix or solution yet. This is scary and a huge potential safety risk!!! Why is there no fix yet GM???
