  • Interests:Trunk opens without hitting button. It happens not lonely when unlocking the doors, but even when it is just sitting in a parking lot or garage. This is very disturbing knowing anyone has access to my trunk and car when this occurs. It happens multiple times per day.

My trunk opens inexplicably. Whether I unlock the doors or if it just parked with no interaction. This is extremely disturbing as I leave work, the store or my home to see that my trunk has been popped for who knows how long.

This is a known problem with US-built Cruze of your year.

I don't remember enough about what the fix was, I have a Korean-built Cruze, but if you search around the site it should be mentioned somewhere, I think it was a modification that the GM dealers could apply that made the trunk require a "double push" to open, or something like that.

This was and still is a global case:) water comes to trunk button and it's freezing at winter, then water can come more insdie sticker, rust etc,

in the end you got the constant connection there (open signal still), or trunk button dosen't work at all.

GM said thet they fized out this one, but they didn't - still the same problem, even in insignia (same trunk button there).

Need to change sticker inside 1 cm x 1cm or buy whole new on ali

In the case when trunk button is out of action - to not using button on key to open it  u can DIY any interior trunk button inside car,

i added myself BMW button, but there are many options of those trunk, even on ALI

take a look how to connect it in Cruze
